Our Spanish Teachers

We select teachers for both their excellent teaching experience and outgoing personalities. All our teachers are enthusiastic, well-qualified and able to provide a positive classroom environment that makes students feel comfortable.  

 

Spanish language learning resources

  • Our teachers use professionally produced materials that help them teach the language in a dynamic, productive way.
  • Our teachers create supplementary materials for each group based on their particular program.

Spanish Department Coordinator:
Cristina Rubio Rey, MS (Spanish Philology)

Cristina has over 10 years of professional experience teaching Spanish, including with the Cervantes Institute and the Bosphorus University. Her studies are in Spanish Philology, Hebrew Studies, and Second Language Acquisition. Before settling in Costa Rica, Cristina lived and worked in Spain, Israel, England, France, and Turkey. Cristina is proficient in several languages and feels passionately that the integrated education of languages and cultures helps students to grow as individuals, better know their own culture, and contribute to the shared understanding between people.
